This week, BASREP students will be lending helping hands to the area by crafting suncatchers for the local convalescent home, making delicious baked goods for a bake sale (proceeds to benefit a soup kitchen), picking up trash (with proper gloves and bags) around Korn School & Allyn Brook Park, and designing cheerful cards for sick children and their families through the “Hugs and Hope” organization. There certainly will be a great sense of community and hope during this volunteer oriented week!

We honor them this week, by devoting the time to thank these workers with homemade cards, posters and pictures. A fireman, police officer and representative from “Life Star” will be among some of our guest speakers. A schedule of dates and times will be provided on the sign-in cart, before our “Homegrown Heroes” week begins. In addition, we will be enjoying an all-day “Rip-Curl” Water Slide, on Thursday, 7/29!
